Special Education
Stronger special education systems. Better outcomes for students.
Special education is complex, and districts don't have to navigate that complexity alone. CESO partners with school leaders to assess current systems, strengthen programming, support compliance, evaluate staffing and resources, and plan for what's ahead. Whether the need is focused or districtwide, our team provides practical, experienced support tailored to each district's students, staff, and community.

Special Education Programming Assessment
Sometimes districts need more than a solution to one issue. They need an objective look at how their special education system is working as a whole. CESO's comprehensive assessment uses data, document review, stakeholder input, and the perspective of experienced special education leaders to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. We look at how programming, staffing, leadership, compliance, finance, and service delivery work together rather than reviewing each area in isolation. District leaders receive clear findings and practical, prioritized recommendations based on their students, staff, resources, and community. CESO can also provide continued support as districts move from recommendations to implementation.
Do Now
High impact, minimal effort. These tasks can often be completed by your team, with limited support. Think of it as having all the tools in place, you just need a hand prioritizing, planning, or making a conscious effort to focus on them. This stage is often also where we determine pieces to be implemented in Do Soon.
Do Soon
High impact, medium effort. These action items build momentum, accelerating improvement, and increasing efficiency. Theyโre often project-based and may require an investment. Do Soon typically impacts the current or upcoming year, but the timeline is ultimately up for your team to decide.
Do Later
High impact, high effort. We make sure youโre set up for sustainable, long-term success. Think of these items as your ideal state, with Do Now and Do Soon helping lay its groundwork. Do Later can also include an analysis of results, longer-term planning, and higher levels of organizational change that may require partnership support.
