Shakopee Public Schools (MN)
With a controller-level staffing vacancy — and federal compliance reporting needs stemming from an influx of CARES Act funding — our team had a chance to partner with the smart folks in Shakopee to help keep the ship on course.
The Story
In 2019, the Shakopee finance team experienced staff transition and opted to bring in part-time assistance in the form of CESO Finance for budgeting, audit and duties as assigned by executive director. In the ensuing years, our team has served as a backstop during times of volatility or transition in AP or accounting staff — allowing the department to enjoy uninterrupted service to the district while ensuring a strategic (not reactive) hire.
